Hallowe’en 8 of 13
October 26
When I was kid, they used to play spooky oldies on Hallowe’en and I remember listening to them when we’d drive around to trick-or-treat and go to the local Hallowe’en fair. I know they used to play this one all the time. Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ I Put a Spell on You

If you’re going to interfere in my work (or my wife’s), the end result needs to be better than what was there before. And if you aren’t a professional designer, don’t give me design advice or rework my designs. It’ll get you a swift kick to the throat, yo. (And by “my,” I mean “our”).
Following in yesterday’s footsteps, as shambling as they may be, comes a fun early track from Tsunami Bomb. Something you don’t want to find in your treat bag is Rotting Vampire Eyeballs

I know I haven’t posted a blog-ish post in awhile, just the MP3s, but I haven’t really had anything to post about. Our lives are very repetive and mundane, so most days go by with nothing to comment on.
I want to write more, though, as I’ve said before so I’m trying to make myself write more, to find things worth commenting on. Or, if I can’t find anything to comment on, I’ll create something worth commenting on. In that spirit, I’ve decided to try NaNoWriMo. If you don’t have time/desire to go and see what it’s all about, I’ll tell you. It’s a yearly event. Every November, people all over the world sit down and force themselves to write a 50,000-word novel (that’s about 175 pages). Doesn’t have to be good, can be about anything you want, and you don’t have to finish it. So, starting next Monday, I’ll be writing a lot less here, but a lot more in my NaNoWriMo section. If you like the layout of it, tell me. It’s an alternate that I developed during the design of this version of EHZ that I really like, but other people seem to hate it.
Well, let’s catch you up on the Love universe. We’re still thinking about taking a trip for our anniversary, but we’re not sure where. Really, we’re not even sure if money and time will let us take a trip, but we hope we can. We’re thinking just a daytrip to some of the natural things to see and explore here in the state. I’m sure we’ll have photos and commentary if we do take a trip, so stay tuned (or somesuch nonesense).
I rented Silent Hill 4: The Room this week, and I’ve been playing it as much as possible the last few days. It’s a fun game, but, like all the games in the Silent Hill series, it’s a bit slow and overindulgent on the bloody/rusty walls. I think I’m about halfway through after playing for about 5 hours. It’s a good concept and the characters look awesome. Give it a try if you like plodding survival-horror.
Elaine’s mom came down today and brought us a couple of nice books for the piano. We got a piano back around my birthday this year and we’ve never learned to play or gotten it tuned or anything. She keeps saying she’s going to bring us books to learn how to play, and she finally did. Thanks, Mom #2! It’ll be a lot more fun/enjoyable once we get the damn thing tuned. Maybe in the next few weeks….
I guess that’s about it. Oh, I plan on finally working on the-loves.com and putting up something worthwhile there, but don’t expect any miracles until December. Unless, of course, my hands explode from NaNoWriMo, then something might happen sooner.
Here’s a chick band for you…I’m sure you’ll love that! It wouldn’t be a zombie site without at least one song about a zombie, now would it? Today’s track is Tilt’s Animated Corpse
addendum
Again, I miswrote the link. Should work now, sorry for any who didn’t get it today.

To keep you guessing, here’s a non-punk, non-oldie track for your holiday goodness. This is from the amazing Tom Waits. Black Rider
Update
Sorry, guys. I tell ya, I’m not usually this absent-minded. It was late and I had to put up 13 of these suckers. Anyway, thanks goes to Ray for telling me it was flubbed up. Should work now.
